Elder Abuse Ontario

The Social Strategy Group acting on behalf of Health Therapy Products Ltd. is working together with Elder Abuse Ontario, to  increase awareness about this serious social issue, and to raise funds in support of the organization's educational and training programs.

Elder Abuse Ontario is a non-profit organization focused on supporting the implementation of The Ontario Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse, and has been doing so since 2002.

The framework of the Strategy focuses on service coordination, building local capacity of front-line workers, caregivers, and community networks, by providing public education and training of professionals/service providers and families of seniors, to raise awareness around elder abuse issues.

Elder abuse is a serious and growing problem. There are currently 2 million seniors aged 65 and over, or 14.6 per cent of the population who reside in Ontario, and there are between 40,000 and 200,000 seniors living in Ontario who have experienced or are experiencing elder abuse.  The number of seniors over 65 is projected to more than double in Canada or in Ontario to almost 4.2 million, or 24.0 per cent, by 2036.

Pain comes in many forms, and everyone should understand that the pain inflicted on Elder Seniors, whether from Physical, Financial, Emotional and Sexual Abuse or Neglect and Abandonment, is far more serious than the pain we suffer from muscle strains, back aches, arthritis or joint pain.

With this in mind Health Therapy Products Ltd. a Canadian manufacturer of an excellent  Natural Topical Pain Relief Gel called FBF18, is partnering with Elder Abuse Ontario..
